The ASTM Committee E18 on Sensory Evaluation of Materials and Products meets twice a year, usually in April and October. This time the ASTM E18 meeting will be hold in New Orleans, from Tuesday, October 10th 2017 to Thursday, October 12th 2017. Many professionals attend these three days of technical meetings that usually conclude with a presentation on relevant topics in the Sensory Evaluation Field.
The Committee E18 was formed in 1960 and to date it has around 240 members spread in 10 technical subcommittees that currently maintain jurisdiction over 31 standards. Some of these 1-hour meetings will deal with interesting aspects such as panelist performance, sensory quality or panelist feedback among many other interesting subjects. In addition a session about terminology will be also hold.
